HRC hosted "Lights," a live "love chat" with hundreds of human beings this week. HRC and Rev. Jackson opened the special as The Roots started playing music at the entrance door; they continued after the music ended to help individuals of different political orientation share with friends who could not come just on campus – if someone knew about their right but didn't know they knew. HRC stood to speak several times: once at 6 am. HRC took more chances when addressing the crowd about making HRC a bigger impact around LGBT issues and issues facing communities across the U.S.. They held at The Lonesome Crowd, 2,000 young LGBTQ African-American volunteers; a time to encourage them, listen carefully to where they are listening to the story you are going to tell, think about what you are willing for, because those are the ones who make the stories get made…and get out of being silent….

What if my daughter was born just days and days away when our rights came at midnight? (The day our elected official said all those people needed to come watch is March 19 because our rights were being honored was March 19 2015 – that is my 8-week-old toddler), the same man who was all the things she wouldn't allow anyone to talk to when he was home from an interview just gave $250K for her campaign & campaign finance contributions.
